Revision of Shadowlite from Wed, 2006-08-02 22:30

The Strong Angel III demonstration has two fundamental operating groups, the “Core” and the “Shadowlites”, who will work together with varying degrees of interrelation over the course of a week to simulate a truly complex disaster. The Core consists of a limited number of public- and private-sector participants who will perform a series of technical and non-technical experiments to address a predefined set of objectives, numbered 1-49. This is the Core of Strong Angel III.

The Shadowlite section, led by Strong Angel team member Dr. Dave Warner, will be coordinating and supporting the Core activities from multiple linked venues in the San Diego region. The Shadowlites are stand-alone emergent synergy operations that serve to enhance and extend the main site activities so that the Core can “pull in” relevant applications and emerging advanced technologies. The Shadowlites will be remotely generating much of the content that will drive the acquisition, analysis, translation, and reporting tools in the Core. Shadowlite is not meant to be critical of participant performance, but to provide valuable contributions to the Strong Angel III demonstration.
